3 Ways to Calm Your Triple Warmer

I am often asked by my clients to show them a simple grab-n-go technique they can use that is quick and effective at reducing stress.

I always tell them the key to reducing stress and overwhelm quickly is by using a technique that will turn off the fight-flight-freeze mode. That is where the triple warmer comes in.

The triple warmer governs the sympathetic nervous system response, also known as fight-flight-freeze response, so it is responsible for responding to perceived threats and keeping us alive. Since the triple warmer is a survival function, it can pull energy away from other systems like the spleen, which can lead to  an impaired immune system, which opens the door for sickness and disease.

Unfortunately, the triple warmer has not evolved with society. We live in such a fast past, high demanding, always “on” world. Most of the time when the stress signal gets set off in our bodies, we are not in any immediate danger. Our triple warmer cannot distinguish the difference of being chased in a dark alley or just reacting to every day stressors like job issues or finances.

By performing any of the exercises I walk you through in my video,  they will allow you to communicate with your triple warmer, and let it know that the negative thoughts and emotions that are being generated do no serve our health and well being.

The exercises will actually allow you to retrain your body to react differently to new, strange and unknown stimuli. You are actually communicating that you are ok and safe.
