“Energy is the living, vibrating ground of your being, and it is your body’s natural self-healing elixir, its natural medicine. This medicine, this energy medicine, feeds body and soul, and attending to it restores your natural vitality. Energy medicine is the science and the art of optimizing your energies to help your body and mind function at its best.” Donna Eden

For most of us, when we hear the word energy we think of something that turns lights on and off or runs our electronic devices. We don’t realize we are all made of energy.

All living things are made of vibrating electromagnetic energy just like light, sound or microwaves. We literally send off an invisible electromagnetic field in all directions.

Picture it like ripples caused by a stone tossed into a pond. This energy field is a physical connection to our families and friends, animal companions, wildlife and natural surroundings. It literally connects us to everything on the planet.

By using the body’s natural healing ability you can restore energy that has become weak or out of balance. When our bodies become stressed or diseased they are no longer producing the correct sound wave or vibration.

To help you understand this better think of what happens sometimes to the electricity running in your home during a bad thunderstorm. Often times a circuit breaker will trip. If the circuit breaker connected to your kitchen is blown you will not be able to use many of your appliances. In order to get them up and running you need to reset the circuit breaker so the energy can once again flow and everything will begin working. Think of yourself as the electrician of your body. If your energy is blocked in a certain area of your body, your body will begin to breakdown. By practicing ways to restore or balance your energy you will begin to realize that at any time you can just reset the circuit breaker that is stuck or blocked and create a healthy vibrant body.

Traditional Chinese Medicine views the body has a whole, where everything in the body is interconnected. If something happens to one part of the body it affects every other part. As you begin to get sick your body will begin to exhibit symptoms, and if it is not rebalanced those symptoms may lead to acute or chronic illnesses. They believe that all illness stems from blocked energy. Balancing your energy is the key to good health.

When most people hear the word exercise they think of running, aerobics, lifting weights, etc. We are all told how adding some form of exercise to our daily routine will improve our health and increase our energy. The majority of the exercises people engage in are aimed at the cardiovascular system and muscles of the body.  In order to have overall great health we need to pay attention to more than the heart, lungs and muscles. If we really want to experience phenomenal health then we also have to pay attention to the functioning of all of our other organs and endocrine system in the body (kidneys, spleen, bladder, gall bladder, long and short intestine, thyroid, adrenals, pituitary etc.) If any of those are not functioning at their optimal level, we will have low energy and most likely be experiencing health issues.

Once we have our internal organs functioning at an optimal level we can really start enjoying the benefits of total health and fitness. There are many different forms of exercises that will do this like Tai Chi, Qigong, Yoga, etc., along with the energy exercises I am sharing in the videos below (which originate from Donna Eden). These exercises are one way you can begin to activate, nourish, upgrade and rebalance the energy levels of all the major energy centers, chakras, acupuncture/meridian pathways, organs and endocrine system.

That is why I am so excited to share these energy exercises with you. I personally have felt a shift in my energy, stress levels and overall health by performing these exercises on a daily basis.

We are living in a world we are not evolved to live in with added stress, pollutants, EMF waves, GMOS and many other things, and since it is impossible to totally avoid all of those things, we need to find a way to keep our energies flowing freely. By keeping our energy in balance we can live a healthy, happy life. I believe these exercises are one way of doing that.

In the video below I take you through one of the exercise routines I do every morning. I encourage you to try these exercises for 30 days and let me know how they make you feel. They are simple but powerful! I guarantee if you make a habit of performing them, you will feel your stress melt away!

In the following videos I explain each exercise, how to to do it and some of the benefits.

The Four Thumps– When you tap on certain parts of your body it will impact your energy field sending electrochemical impulses to your brain and releasing neurotransmitters. This exercise is a way you can “recharge your batteries.” It will boost your immune system, help metabolize food, reduce toxins and stress, help promote clear thinking and balance electrolytes.

The Cross Crawl– This exercise helps support the flow between the left and right hemispheres of the brain. Often times our energies are not crossing over like they are meant to so this exercise will help facilitate that. It will help you feel more balanced, think more clearly and improve your coordination.

Connecting Heaven and Earth–  This exercise opens the meridians and creates a feeling of joy. It also helps to expel toxic energy, boost your immune system and stimulates fresh energy flow through the joints. It is a great exercise to do if you feel yourself coming down with a cold. It also helps to do the exercise before bed if you have trouble sleeping.

The Celtic Weave– This exercise weaves your aura (which is the energy field around your physical body) with all of your other electrical systems. It helps protect you from harmful energies in the environment. You are literally making figure 8’s up and down your body. Our energy flows in and around our body in the flow of a figure 8. Sometimes this flow can become stuck, blocked or there is not enough flowing. Figures 8’s not only get our energy flowing they also help our cells, muscle and brain function with greater vitality.

The Wayne Cook Posture– This exercise is great if you are feeling overwhelmed or confused. It will help you process and retain information. It is a great exercise to do before a presentation, a test or an interview. The exercise is named in honor of Wayne Cook, a pioneering researcher of bioenergetic force fields who invented the approach which was modified by Donna Eden. It has also helped with dyslexia or stuttering. A great exercise to untangle inner chaos.

The Hook-up and Zip-up– The Hook-up creates a connection between your central meridian (which sends energy up the front of your body) and the governing meridian (which sends energy up your spine). It also helps reduce anxiety and increase coordination. It has been known to bring a person out of a seizure. The Zip-up protects you from absorbing negative energies and environmental toxins. It lifts your energy and your spirit. It makes you feel more confident.

This routine takes less than 5 minutes so there should be no excuses about not having time. If you are serious about your health and happiness just make a  commitment to try this routine for 30 days and I have no doubt that you will  begin to see and feel changes inside and out.  For all of you parents out there, these exercises have been used in classrooms with children  and have shown to improve their learning abilities, memory and most of all giving them a way to release anxiety and stress. Make it a daily routine for you and your family! I would love to hear your feedback after trying these exercises and answer any questions you have.
