Easy Way to Reduce Inflammation Without a Prescription!

Since April is earth awareness month, I wanted to take the time to talk about the importance of earthing (also called grounding).

As humans we were meant to connect with the earth on a daily basis, but can earthing really reduce inflammation in the body?

So what is earthing? Simply put it is having direct skin contact with the earth. The easiest way to do that is by going barefoot outside.

Our ancestors spent their lives barefoot or just wearing some form of  animal skin to protect their feet which still allowed them to receive the benefits of earthing.

The problem we face nowadays,  is that we are constantly wearing some form of footwear that is made of materials that keep us from experiencing the benefit of earthing.

The other issue that may arise for some people is where they live. Some places experience months of cold weather and snow which makes it impossible to go out barefoot for periods of time.

Why should we care whether we make earthing part of our routine or not?

There are so many things we take for granted that the earth supplies us with like: the air we breathe, vegetables, fruits, nuts, herbs an endless food supply, water, beautiful landscape, a sense of calmness when we walk in nature and that is just to name a few! What we really overlook it the unlimited amount of free electrons the earth provides us with 24/7.

The earth is ALIVE!

When we go barefoot in the grass, soil, sand or rocks our body absorbs the natural subtle energy on the ground. Our bodies pull in the free electrons from the earth which basically neutralizes our body so it can return to a balanced state.

This is more important than ever because we are constantly battling free radicals due to being bombarded with EMFs, pesticides, air pollutants and that is just a small portion of the list. Free radicals cause inflammation in the body which can lead to disease.

When we are earthing, the earth’s electrons will migrate into our bodies and spread throughout the tissues. Any free radicals that flow into the healthy tissue will immediately be electrically neutralized. The reason this happens is because the electrons are negative and the free radicals are positive, so they cancel each other out.

Earthing has not only been shown to reduce inflammation but also calms the nervous system, reduces stress and improves sleep.

I have so many fond memories as a child playing outside. I felt so carefree, vibrant, energetic and felt the sky was the limit. I recall being barefoot a lot! I wonder if earthing played a part in having such a happy, healthy childhood?
